TGIF on Friday, Feburary 12, 2010 ...

The Super Bowl is in the books ... Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints winning Super Bowl 44 by defeating the Colts last Sunday.

Iowa men's and women's basketball each won a game on Wednesday and Thursday night, respectively. It is always nice to see the Hawkeyes get a +1 in the Big Ten.

There are some tough times going on in the Iowa Legislature this week, with some unusual bills passing committee. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness in the State of Iowa is getting tougher and tougher on Small Business, the Jobs picture and those seeking Limited Spending and Limited Government.

There is some basketball in the air in our family with the Junior Warrior basketball tournament on Saturday, February 13Th. Let's go Junior Warriors!

On Sunday, February 14Th we celebrate Valentine's Day :)

Robin B. Tucker, Resident of District 3 Cedar Rapids, Iowa USA

My parents are I.L. "Tommy" and LaVerne Tucker, who met at Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My parents were married at the former Central Park church in Cedar Rapids. My parents celebrated their 60Th wedding anniverary in January of 2009. Also, I have a older sister and a brother.

I attended the Cedar Rapids Community Schools and am a graduate of George Washington Senior High School. I graduated from Creighton University, College of Business Administration, as an accounting major.

I am a 3rd generation resident of the City of Five Seasons. I am a married to my wife, Carole. We met at Creighton University, in Omaha, Nebraska. We have three children.

I worked previously in public accounting in Omaha, before I returned with my wife to my hometown to join my father and mother in business.

I am a strong fan of college football, including the Unversity of Iowa, among other programs. In college basketball, I follow my Creighton Jays and the Iowa Hawkeyes; among other programs in the The Valley, the Big Ten, and the Big 12 ...
