Carole and I enjoyed the Wednesday night Substate football game at Kingston Stadium between Washington-North Scott

The Washington High School football team will advance to the first round of the Class 4A Football Playoffs on Monday night after a 42-21 substate win over North Scott at Kingston Stadium on Wednesday night. Live updates from Iowa Prep Sports! Preview

Washington will get to stay at Kingston Stadium for another game, after Kennedy upset Bettendorf on the road 17-14 on Wednesday night. It will be nice to see another Washington-Kennedy showdown at Kingston! Though, we have a conflict with the McKinley play scheduled the same night.

Oh well! At least the Warriors are still in the playoffs.

Robin B. Tucker, Resident of District 3 Cedar Rapids, Iowa USA

My parents are I.L. "Tommy" and LaVerne Tucker, who met at Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My parents were married at the former Central Park church in Cedar Rapids. My parents celebrated their 60Th wedding anniverary in January of 2009. Also, I have a older sister and a brother.

I attended the Cedar Rapids Community Schools and am a graduate of George Washington Senior High School. I graduated from Creighton University, College of Business Administration, as an accounting major.

I am a 3rd generation resident of the City of Five Seasons. I am a married to my wife, Carole. We met at Creighton University, in Omaha, Nebraska. We have three children.

I worked previously in public accounting in Omaha, before I returned with my wife to my hometown to join my father and mother in business.

I am a strong fan of college football, including the Unversity of Iowa, among other programs. In college basketball, I follow my Creighton Jays and the Iowa Hawkeyes; among other programs in the The Valley, the Big Ten, and the Big 12 ...
