On a separate note, we received an e-mail from the Ron Corbett: Leadership for Cedar Rapids campaign this morning:
Put me in, Coach!
Game time starts at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3rd, but if you just can't wait that long, you can score now.
Unlike sports, in elections you don't have to wait for the kickoff to get your points on the board.
You can score now in one of two ways:
- Voting at the Linn County Auditor's office
Their office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is located at Westdale Mall in the old Steve and Barry's/Montgomery Wards store. The parking is easy and they promise to get you in and out within 5 minutes or less.2) - Voting absentee
Request an absentee ballot by going to:http://www.sos.state.ia.us/PDFS/AbsenteeBallotApp.pdf
Email requests cannot be accepted.
Don't wait too long to exercise this scoring option, because you have to allow mail time for your ballot to get back and forth to the Auditor's office.
By participating in either of these options, you can avoid being sidelined on game day by sudden illness, changes in your work schedule and family emergencies.
