What's up in Washington D.C. with Federal Legislation?

The Week Ahead: Both chambers are scheduled to observe a spring break from March 29-April 9. ~ National Write Your Congressman

At our Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids meeting today, 2Nd District U.S. Representative David Loebsack (IA-Dem.) was in attendance, along with Iowa HD 33 Representative Kirsten Running-Marquart (Dem.). Each candidate will face a Republican in the November general election scheduled on November 2, 2010.

We welcomed two new members of our Rotary Club. For more news on the Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids, check out the latest RIPPLES FROM THE RAPIDS. Rich Patterson was today's program and spoke on the Indian Creek Nature Center, as well as the 40Th Anniversary of Earth Day – April 22, 2010. Our club's theme for April 2010 is the 'Earth' and the Nature Conservatory and Trees Forever are scheduled for programs this month.
